Behold, My New Jaguar XJ8, in pictures.

I can't now no :D ...I do have a very old copy of PS (PS 6), but these days I just use Paint.NET, for all the use I get out of such a program, it's hardly worth me buying one.

I'm not happy with it either, the Jaguar logo has rough edges, despite my efforts to remove them, I will have another go at some point, maybe make it a bit more interesting.

I'm not a fan of Jags, but that upholstery is drop dead gorgeous.

Don't let any chocolate wielding kids near it! :p

I use www.pixlr.com, not bad for a free editor :)

Anyway, use this. I don't care if you don't like it, your white jaggy edges are making my OCD kick in y0! :p

It's no S Class but I do like these, especially the facelift version with the side slats, the best looking one out of all XJs.

It's no S Class

And thank God it isn't....

Lovely looking car Moeks. A friend of mine has a 3.2 X308 LWB, he loves it to bits. Even compared to his '89 Bentley Mulsanne S! He didn't particuarly care for the X350 when it came out, but I think he's warming to them now (especially in light of the new one, which looks more like a Volvo than a Jaguar).

Thanks Janesy, I appreciate your effort there :) ...I might use that one, I'll have a play later when I get back from the pub.

Your car is beautiful Martin, I like that a lot. Some serious grunt too :D

I don't recall seeing it around these forums before either, lovely, lovely car :)

Thinking about that XKR, i saw a flippin fantastic looking XKR parked on someones drive down the road from me the other day. I only caught a quick glimse of it, but it was light metallic green with wide arches and deep chrome lipped wheels all round. I'll have to get some better pics.

Did jag build a special edition XRR/XK8 by any chance?

Cheers dude. I looked at part exchanging it for an XJ like yours (I used to have a 2000 XJ8 and loved it) but i just couldnt part with the XK!

I am surrounded by German cars on all sides, most of my family are so firmly entrenched into 'ze German' way of things now I'm surprised we still speak English  ...I feel quite liberated doing otherwise :p ...I'm pretty sure I can get my Dad back into a Jag, when our local dealer gets one of the new XJ's in and he can have a proper look around it.

I don't think he's especially enamoured with the latest 7 series anyway, they are just becoming 'habit'. Don't get me me wrong, his E66 is a very nice and technologically, hugely impressive car, but it does lack a little something for me, something that the E38 had, something the big Jag's have. I loved the E38, that was a lovely car, far better looking than the E65/66 aswell.

Pretty much my take on the e65 / e66.

I miss my old e38 and will have another one day, I have no such desire for an e65 / 66 though good as they undoubtedly are.

Jags are not given the credit they deserve imo.

Lovely car mate. Very much like it and definitely one of the three saloons i would pick (S-class/This/A8 being the three i'd have) :)

That average of 25.7mpg given the small engine and the lightweight body doesnt seem too impressive though? Perhaps it has been driven relatively hard for this class of car?
