2009 Ashes Series - England vs. Australia **Spoilers**

Yes it is possible we are still in the game with our 300, if we bowl well and/or the Aussies bat badly. But I still think we have scored well under par on this pitch and the Aussies are well on top. Tomorrow will tell.
 
Just seen Strauss' dismissal. Ok now it was a no ball, but to be quite honest playing a shot like that he deserved to get out. Such a soft dismissal.

Not a great position for England. The Aussies will bat forever on this pitch.
 
I reckon you'll reach 350 without too much trouble. Your tail enders can be quite obstinate when the situation demands.

I have no idea what Australia will do on this pitch. I'm worried that it will be increasingly bowler-friendly by the time our boys pick up their bats.

Lots of good signs- it's odd to see the Oval wicket breaking up like that on the first day. There's definitely going to be something there for the bowlers, they just have to step up and make use of it.

Great performance by Siddle, he's exciting to watch.
 
well its a massive day today, england need a few more runs i think then really need to get stuck into the aussie batting order on this crumbling pitch, hopefully swann can show us what he is worth on a very good spinners pitch.
 
Pants!

Broad is really stepping up to the plate as a genuine all rounder. Been really impressed with him in this series.

Quite a lot of swing out there by the look of the last delivery!
