Man or WOman

To be honest, if she was not able to control the factor that led to her increased testosterone, then I think she should be able to keep her title. However if she took performance enhancing drugs then obviously she should be banned.

Maybe something to take from this could be to introduce a maximum testosterone level allowed in a race like this.

On average a man has about 40-60 times more testosterone than a woman.... so this proves what?

Drugs or some kind of medical condition. The latter most likely.

But she shouldn't be punished for that if it the case, medals taken away etc because she can't really help that.

Just means everyone else is going to have to step up, just like with Bolt, Phelps etc.

Well if it proves anything then it's that she isn't a man? For a man to have such low levels, especially an athlete there'd have to be something seriously wrong?

I'd have thought 3x times more is within reasonable limits considering training, diet, etc can raise natural test levels. Aswell as just naturally having more, she doesn't exactly look like she's ever been lacking.

i agree, but.. like in powerlifting, you have a limit to the amount above average that you can have.
even if natural, the fact you are over the limit is an instant dismissal from the competition.
imagine a man with 3xnatural test levels, would never be accepted as natural :/

In front of him/her, go and kick another bloke really hard in the nuts.
If he/she shows pain on his/her face (as in shares the pain of the bloke whos been kicked in the nuts), its a man.

Surely they could just ask Caster to parallel park a car and then set a video recorder?

Case solved in 5 minutes that way. :D

I won't be surprised if they find she has some underlying medical condition causing it. Whether or not she should be stripped of her title as a result I don't know, it's unfair for other competitors and it would be unfair towards her. I guess at the end of the day, if she can't help it, it's no different to Bolts long legs or Thropes big feet.

totally agree, but i firmly believe shes a woman

It's not quite the same though (just examples I've no idea of the real amounts :/ )

Lets say a woman's natural test is around 2mg, so she's registering around 6mg (3x)

Now let's say a man's is about 100mg (50x). If a man is registering 3x times natural then 300mg is looking a little fishy and dwarfs her 6mg... and lets not forget they're claiming she's a man.

To have just 3x times more than normal for a woman when a man should be registering 40-60x more doesn't raise any questions at all. Only way a man could register so low is to abuse steriods and not use any kind of PCT? But then there'd be no doubt at all....

oh yeah completely agree on that part, if she is well under that of a man then she would need to be taking suppresants, of which that would do her more bad than good :
