Depsite being the one to put up this thread and wanting to see this for months and months I only finally watched this last night and it was fantastic, some of the best sci-fi in years. I too laughed in certain parts, mainly when they were doing the eviction rounds with the aliens and the different replies they'd get.

She also said the film was stupid and if the aliens ate the bad man at the end why didn't they just eat all the humans in the first place.
Anyway, they didn't eat him. They just tore him apart.
Didn't realise proof was needed that Afrikaaners could act.District 9 is proof that Afrikaaners can be good in films, just like normal people.
