I was expecting more stat wise. Would be nice to see some benchmarks. like a few others i'm going to wait for the 2gb sapph versions to come out.

whos going to carry out some benchmarks of the lot that have purchased one of these?

When will the 5870x2 be out, any ideas? Then I'll have to wait for waterblock to fit it too!

Benchmarks are in the first post of the main thread - there are links to about a dozen reviews with lots of data to pore over.

Long and short:
5870>GTX285 by a fair margin - pretty much 4870x2 speeds, which is what was promised.
5870<slighty GTX295 - depending on review conditions and type, they are trading blows, but bear in mind the 5870 is a single GPU solution, and the 295 is two of Nvidias top GPUS on one PCB -so less power draw and heat output.

As for the size, it's 11 inches long, dual slot.
 
OK will everyone stop asking when the 5870X2 will be released. At present there is still no confirmed ETA but we have heard rumours of a November launch for the beasts. We could be lucky and see them in Oct but who knows.

There hope that clears up the issue. Now can we get back to Virus2K's excitement cos that is pure popcorn entertainment :p :D

Ive slightly considerd ATI tho im waiting a month to see if theres any chance nivida bring something out but as i know nothing about ATI. What arethe best brands to get with best customer support patching and such ?. dont want to be stuck with a card like i did inthe past which wouldnt play a lot of games as patches were slow coming out.
