Windows 7 Pro Very slow startup

Hi guys got my Win7 Pro from MSDN and installed on main PC and had issues with aspec ratio but sorted that by allowing nvidia to scale.

But this seems so slow at start up compared to Beta/RC.... Whats going on here. My vista is to start up in seconds even after year but this win7 pro takes ages.

any one else with same issue or know a fix.

unplug your IDE HDD and see what happens?

I could turn it off and see, moving the case to open is a bit of a pain.

if there are any errors they may be logged in the Event Viewer

hi nothing in even viewer and disabling IDE didnt do anything, Vista start was fast and so was win7 RC but RTM is slow, its the only negetive so far except IE8 not saving usernames and pass on some sites

yeah that's what i was thinking i found that bug and started a thread on it, dam thing still no fix however MS have patches coming on tuesday so hopefully we will see it resolved then

bootup time to the desktop is the problem, today notice some apps not loading like rocketrock also once before i could not get Gadget app to load.

ok might not be the issue then, if you select 'solid colour' as a theme that can cause issues. if you run MScong under start are there some programs you can turn off, i know if i allow my blackberry software to run at start up the whole system is a slug for the first 15 seconds after logging on.
