PS2 looks pretty shocking through my plasma, and i heard they're supposed to handle SD footage better than LCD TVs. But does anyone here play PS2 through a small LCD TV? How bad is it??

when i had my ps2 hooked up to my 19" LCD through component cables it didn't look too bad at all in my opinion... Especially when playing the few games that offer progressive scan mode.

Component must be the key thing there then, i hadnt thought of that, i have RGB

Does the picture fit nicely in the TV? When i played through RGB the edges of the game were way off the edges of the TV, it looked rough :(

When i used component the screen seemed to fit perfectly plus if you are playing a game that supports progressive scan the edges are smoothed out quite a bit. I really noticed this when playing Guitar Hero 2 using component, the note gem things were a lot smoother.

You'll get the black bars on any widescreen tv.

Using component will make it looks miles better, my PS2 looks great through my plasma via component.

I use some of the stretching modes on my TV, makes everything fit nicely without seeming weird.
