jacket potatoe in micrwave for 4 minutes turn it upside down another 4 minutes

split open grate some cheese into it put some worcestershire sauce on top, jobs a goodun.

If you're going to do it, do it properly. That's what I've always said. If you want to spend 20 minutes on a meal for your mother (), you may aswell just buy a kebab from your local takeaway.

Sacrilege! How can you possibly do Jacket spuds in the microwave?

You're not a bloke named Dan Quayle by any chance are you?

No i just don't have an hour to ***** waiting for dinner just to get a slightly crispier skin when it tastes better after being sogginess with baked beans.

get a bowl, put in a tablespoon or two of soy sauce, a table spoon of honey, some chinese 5 spice, mix it all together, cover both sides of a pork chop in the mix, then leave it in the mix to marinade overnight. next day, grill the pork chop, and baste it with the leftover marinade, serve with rice, and use what's left of the marinade to flavour the rice.

It's damn good

granted preperation takes longer than 30 minutes :p but the actual cooking time is quick, and leaves you with a mouthwatering juicy chop

That makes no sense at all. How can you compare trying to cook your mother a meal in a small amount of time to ordering a kebab from your local?

Boil some pasta.

While thats on, chop mushrooms and onions and fry in a saucepan. Add chopped tomatoes or pasta sauce and a tin or two of tuna.

Grate cheese on top.

DONE!

A good bolognese sauce takes hours ;).
No, a perfect sauce takes hours - like most things. A good approximation takes minutes.

A good bolognese or even chilli con carne tastes better the longer it is (slow) cooked. But that doesn't mean you can't make one quickly.

I'm not comparing them. I'm simply saying if you're too lazy, and not willing to put the time and effort in to make a nice meal - you may aswell just go the whole hog and buy something from the takeaway. Perhaps from your armchair, over the phone if you so wish.

King prawns and pre-mixed stir-fry veg from supermarket. Throw in a very hot wok with some olive oil, fry for a couple of minutes, add some cashew nuts and a jar of stir-fry sauce (Your choice of flavour) fry for another couple of minutes. Add a packet of fresh stir-fry noodles, fry for another couple of minutes. Serve.
