Gerrard has recorded a not guilty plea to the affray charge at Crown Court today.
This bit made on the Echo website me chuckle though:
The Recorder of Liverpool, Judge Henry Globe QC asked the court whether there were any objections to him presiding over the trial as a local football fan.
He told the court: "I have as a general interest in football and as a person local to the area I have an interest in local football clubs including Liverpool Football Club.
"I am not season ticket holder, nor am I regular attender at Anfield, but it's right to say I have been a visitor to Anfield as a guest on handful occasions.
No counsel objected to Judge Globe and he fixed a trial date for July 20. It is estimated it will last up to three weeks.
He granted all the men conditional bail.
So the Judge is a Liverpool Fan. Sweet

Despite being found guilty by certain muppets on here the jury found him not guilty.
I thought there was clear photographic / video against him though?
nope, that's why he was cleared
