Next Car after my BMW?

It will, yes.

However the money lost on a new car between now and the time when your current one would have hit 200k will greatly exceed the money lost on your current car between now and the point at which it would hit 200k.

My choice will not be based on money alone though.

What interests and excites you about motoring? What would alleviate your boredom?

Are you bored or simply familiar?

I think I'm bored...Its been nearly 3 yrs now.

Can't put my finger on it.

It's a bit difficult to recommend him something with him being so vague. All we are really able to do is just fire off names of cars.

Subaru Impreza?

hardly, it's everyone else being a ****.

exactly.

whilst enthusiasts generally know better on the whole mileage front of cars, the clueless general public will always see anything over 100k as high miles, so for depreciation reasons and resale value alone, surely it makes sense to rid?

Which BMW do you drive at the moment?

If you want a car to do the same job as your current one, but to be different, then test drive a few of the competitors to your current car. So if you drive a 3 series go and drive the new 3 series, and a C class and an A4 etc. Then come back and see how you feel about them.

How does it? The loss in value taking a car from 98k to, say, 120k over a year will not equal the loss in value of putting 20k miles on a £20,000 car will it?

Its what I expect in motors.:p

Everything has a cycle.

100K is a nice round number...refresh etc..

Everybody upgrade PC hardware when they don't need to...And yet they do:D

Why are cars so different?

FFS just state what your requirements are and be done with it. If you do that, people will recommend you cars rather than questioning your motives.

Relatively speaking people loose a hell of a lot more when changing GFX cards for a few FPS :p

As I say. I have had the car 3 years. Its done 100K and a change is in order.

The point of wether its sensible, rational, cost effective or anything is not the issue.

BMW 320D 100k trade to .....? Nothing jumps out of the page at me. Thats why I have posted here.

Well I did mention I was getting a dog and put an estate into the mix.

Everyone has ignored it...
