Average dress size of a "healthy" woman

Nail and head.

Sizing is a load of old pants, I can go into one shop and try on two diffent items of clothing in the same size, one will fit, the other wont. It's all about body proportion. You guys have it so easy! :D You can throw anything on, women have a much harder time getting clothes to fit.

Going back to health, I have a friend who is 2-3 clothes sizes bigger than me but she's far fitter than I am. Unless you are talking about being extremely over/under weight I don't think size has much reflection.

I'm a size 12-14 generally before anyone assumes I've said te above because I am overweight.

your not over weight! even if your 16-18! mmmm curves :)

Having only made it through the first page, I find it strange that members have the foggiest idea. Awaits the "What ph is the ideal moisturiser" thread.

10 to 12, 14 on some women though as each is different!

Guys look at it this way, some of us has 32" waists, others have 36" waists and would be considered slimmer looking than the 32" waist guy because of our build. It's entirely dependent on body shape.

16 would be pushing it though, I've never seen a size 16 who didn't look heavy, not that I find that unattractive though :)

I absolutely hate BMI, what a complete and utterly backward system it is.

According to BMI, I've very obese.

I'm 19 stone 3 and 5ft 11, I'm not gonna pretend I'm slim, but I have a quite high percentage of muscle mass and high bone density, which BMI doesn't account for at all.

You are, as the BMI indicates, probably quite overweight  - It's unlikely, given your gym lifts, that you have enough muscle to account for much of the excess weight. As has been said by numerous people, and as you doubtless appreciate, BMI provides general guidance rather than a person-specific indication of health.

PS. Good luck with the gym work - there are some pretty knowledgable people in the Sports forum if you have any questions :)
