Please move to a more appropriate forum? I wasn't sure which...

Bought a new Archos mp3 player as the memory capacity was considerably bigger than my 2gig ipod however I've used it twice for no more than 30 minutes, return the next day and it's drained? What's the deal?

Unlike the ipod, does it require turning off even though the display etc goes to sleep after non use?
 
Afraid i don't know for sure, my dad and brother both have one, my dad says he turns his off when hes not using it. He also has one of them little docking stations for it if that makes a difference?

*Disclaimer* He isn't the most tech-savvy guy in the world so not sure that's the right way to go about using it.

As you'd expect there's settings for both backlight and power. Backlight should go out after 30 seconds, power after 3 minutes. I'll try switching it off manually and see how it goes..
