Ferrari 599 HY-KERS

Or Rocket motor and Jet Engine as per Bloodhound SSC, or any other combination of heterogeneous propulsion methods, I know.

But we all know my original post is to say that this car doesn't fit into the Prius box that some people above are worried Ferrari are trying to fit it into. I accidentally left a rather large door open for pedantry, and this is OcUK, ergo I get treated like a complete nonce for not making my posts 110% water-tight.

Why do people confuse hybrid with Prius all the time? No wonder Toyota are planning to role to name out on most of their next gen hybrid cars.

The Prius is one of the few cars that has an Atkinson cycle engine, hence its not particularly zingy to drive in its goal to thermal efficiency with low throttle reponse and limited revs, its does have 13:1 compression ratio for a reason! However to prevent it being a lard arse off the mark two motor generators were included for low end grunt with the planetary gearbox to optimise engine revs and convert AC to DC and vice versa. Its not the benchmark for anything petrol + electric.

Proper engine + electric motor = refillable nitrous.

I dont do pedantics, just engineering.

You can't make anything 110% water tight. It just isn't possible. :p
