Hi guys.

I'm after a website where you can design your own business cards for a decent price with quick postage.

I went to a site called Vistaprint, their prices were good but delivery was 21 days.

Have you guys had any experiences with sites like this before? If so, which ones would you recommend?

Cheers

If you design your own cards I've yet to find someone who can beat the quality and service of Moo. They're more expensive but worth it.

Just a word of warning, Vistaprint will sign you up for repeated transactions without you knowing it. My mum has a business, used them to get her cards done and found they were taking £12 a week out. Turns out there is a tick box hidden somewhere in the confirmation screens thats really hard to find, so they've taken money off of a lot of people without their knowing about it.

Just a lil' heads up, don't know if they've sorted it out yet.

the vistaprint b cards are also imo low quality which is not what you want when giving out to potential customers. maybe get a few vistaprint if you know you'll be giving many away such as if you put a load in a shop like taxi's do, but if you're handing them to people personally, i'd recommend going with someone that offers better quality.

I got some from Vistaprint for generating leads, going to order some better ones for giving to potential team members.

No problems so far with Vistaprint, my other half got some when she was a childminder from there.

I use vista print, I did read a lot of bad things about them..

You jsut gotta be careful what you click on once you start a transaction, I got caught once by clicking on an 'offer' to see what it was but it auto purchased it..

I did not notice until a week later when the cards arrived, when I complaied they refuned the money and I kept the 5000k cards, so not all bad!..

very nice online design system... made about 10 orders since no issues..

Vistaprint is pretty poor quality. Goodprint is good from what I've heard though. :)

Better to get 50-100 good quality cards than 500 rubbish ones.

If you get a good design up then its often just as good to print your own on quality card and laminate them yourself.

Depends on the type of card you want really, i found that buying my laminator and cutter was cheaper in the long term for making cards to give out. They look just as good if not better than the batch i paid for in the first instance.

Depends a lot on your budget of course... my cards are ok to use and look at and serve the function at a much lower cost to me. Which is good when business is slow as it is right now :(

Laminated cards? Nasty, you want a high quality card only. Feels nice, looks good. If somebody gave me a laminated card I'd chuck it in the bin.

printing.com is who i used for my recent run of business cards, excellent quality and service. Turnaround was about 7 working days.

Also agree on the avoid vistaprint, they conned me on the £12 a month thingy too!

Clearly you have never tried setting up a business on your own with bugger all help from banks and very little money saved up :p

Id love to spend £100+ a month on business cards but thats something i can ill afford right now.
