Oh my days that's awesome! Were they free? Tomorrow needs to hurry up and get here!

EDIT: Wait, without multitouch, how you gonna move and press buttons?

Can someone please tell me how to import my contacts to the X10. Managed to export them from my N82 to Outlook but can't get them from Outlook. I don't have an email account linked to Outlook btw

Earphones, some bass extension for them, fold up brief user guide, some other documentation, sleeve, phone, 8gb memory card and PC software on the memory card.

Eurozone version comes with stereo bluetooth headset and screen protector

Just got this email from Vodafone..

Unfortunately we have suffered a surprisingly high demand for the Sony Ericsson X10, which means that it is unexpectedly out of stock.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. We hope to have further stock available within 7-10 working days and will contact you again once your order has been dispatched.

I wait 2 years to upgrade and when I do the phone is out of stock.:D:rolleyes:
On-line upgrading is utterly rubbish as if you order over the phone the phone is still in stock. They have different stock piles for on-line and phone ordering :confused:
Dunno what to do now as I don't fancy waiting 7-10 days but I have waited long enough already I don't suppose a little longer will hurt

Could try the eforum team and cancel the online order, Si. I was talking to one of them the other day to change an online upgrade a phone upgrade, and although it says on the forum they cant change online upgrades, the guy on the phone said he could cancel them.

My initial thought was exactly that. How is the EMU gonna work without multi-touch ;)

I know that :p

The phone is very impressive TBH, I now have a phone that i can use as a phone rather then a phone that does every thing else but make a phone call.

Ill write a little review once its carmed down at work.

EDIT - Blonde moment. I can't figure out how to close an application. Some have an exit option under more options but most don't. I found something in application manager where you could force shutdown but it didn't work.

Not all Android apps have an exit funciton, the OS closes them as and when necessary according to system resources.

I went into an o2 shop yesterday to try the x10 out and whilst I liked it there were 2 problems, firstly the assistant told me it was a resistive screen, is this true? I thought it was capacitive.

Secondly when ever I touched the screen a swirl (cant think of a better way to describe it) would appear in the centre of the screen because the pressure was being transferred to the LCD display (if you're not sure what I mean press your finger firmly onto a LCD monitor), does anyone have this problem with their x10? Or have they heard anything about it?

it may be that someone had decided to see how hard they can press the screen and nearly broken it. Only reason i can think of why it would show the swirls you described. You're right about the first point

The screen on the X10 is capacitive display. Ive not had problems with mine at the moment.

Also i believe there has been a baseband update to 1.0.16 which improves battery life. I am just waiting on details from SE Support.

Loving the phone so far. Got the white badboy from Orange and it has no branding or custom software at all. I am impressed. A nice step up from the HTC hero.

Are you finding the battery a little weak? Mind isn't that great, though I have been using all media/battery rich programs/services.

WOO HOO!! Finally got it! They delivered to work :D

First thing's first though, Vodafone are muppets! Why they gotta try and ruin a good phone by installing Vodaphone stuff on it. To be fair though I think it's just the webshop and homepage and stuff (Voda360).

Second thing... NO SLEEVE!!! Why not? I know the one that came with the O2 version wasn't exactly a nice case but at least it came with one. All I got in the Voda box was headphones (some cheap SE bass ones), charger/USB cable... that's it!

Lastly... I'm in love! Good thing it's got an easy wipe screen ;)
