Yeah, old stuff comes up on sometimes. In the 'most read' section it sometimes has old stories, and that's what's happened here. It can be really annoying. I read this story this morning thinking it was new.

It's the forth most popular story on BBC News at the moment:

That Hotmail story has come up on the most read list quite a few times before. The BBC should change the list so that only relatively recent stories show.

They really should weight the top 10 read so stuff over a month old doesn't keep popping up...
Aside from the beheading, there is another story about a hotmail 'prank' from 2006, and a 'kiss of deaf' from 2008... maybe this is a coordinated prank?
