I'm actually amazed that some cities have a big thing about this... I thought people just watch this at home, didn't realize they turned up in the municipal squares and watched it all together. Are we really the only ones who think it's all a bit of a laugh?

Its quite amazing how big this in is in euroland. Look at them live pictures of hamburg!! I doubt any city in the UK has an event for it.

This always makes me feel very detached from Europe
