Hi guys, my girlfriends Corsa () has had the back far side corner clipped in a car park, the bumper has been pushed in (i.e, brackets bent) and there is a couple of dents and scratches aswell. Unfortunatly the scratches are through to the metal work.

I am going to take the bumper off tonight with the hope of straightening out the mounting brackets, but what about the scratches.
On a car of this age and condition, its not worth a respray etc, and i doubt i'll be able to get a touch up kit for it, so it there anything i can put on the scratches to stop it rusting etc

Thanks

Why won't you be able to get a touch up kit? As long as you know the paint code, someone will be able to make some up for you.

Think I know the colour you mean, as long as its a standard colour you can get it from almost any paint shop, Vauxhall direct or it might even be worth checking halfords!

If you want to stop the rust get something called "Hammerite Krust" again sold in halfords it has a special zinc acid that will stop rust, rub it down a bit, go over it with Krust and then paint ;)

I think i've looked in Halfords before just out of interest and there didn't seem to be anything jumping out at me.

As for CCTV, unsure, but it is a college carpark, so will look into it tomorrow!!

Also, looked at getting the bumper off today and didn't even bother. Took the wheel off and looked at the wheel arch and basically its just crumpled cause of all the rust. Managed to pull it ruffly back into place.
