Clingo Universal Podium Desk Stand

its the same price as the wicked Blackberry contactless charging stand I've got!!.. I think I'll stick with that!!.. :)

Just sent you a 'trust' message!!.. :)

Dammit! Won't get it as the domain doesn't exist no more... need to update details. Try in about 5 minuits time once I update it!

Can you do me a favour and send it direct to ocuk[at]hl-ac.co.uk please until I get sorted. You could have just posted the link here unless it sells PC hardware, software.

It uses the same tech as the one I bought for my car and it is solid! Holds perfectly through the G's and it only loses grip if It gets dirty but you just wash it with cold water and it's back to full strength.

Thinking of buying one of these as well, looks very nice :D. Seems a pretty good price for it as well. Looks very handy for some stuff.

Although it would be a bit of a hassle getting it of the sticky pad I think when you just want to text someone quickly with both hands or make a phone call, answering the phone etc. and then having to put it back again etc.

Could you send me an email in trust as well or post the link here please (obviously if the place doesn't sell PC hardware though), would really appreciate it, thanks.

Interesting, might purchase one for my hero.

Did you buy one in the end?

If yes :p, could you post some pics of it without the mobile and with the mobile attached to it please, thanks.

It's arrived :)

When it arrived I checked out the packaging and found that it was spot on, instuctions were brilliant. Plenty of information about the product on the box and well designed. I removed the contents from the box and had to cut the tie wraps keeping it in place and found the base is a solid black structure. I peeled back the clear protective film from the stickyness pad and I attached my phone but never had to press on it. When it attached it felt like a magnet but this thing is so sticky its crazy! This little device is very stable, I understand now, how it would hold an ipad!!!

I did some rotating of the device and the ball joint feels very stable, rotates freely with one hand. Very easy to type on! Can't really say much more but if there are any questions feel free to ask.

:D Very nice.

And also a very nice review m8 :D.

Once again thanks very much :)

Do love the look of it and the rotation etc. but just can't decide if I should get this or a desktop charging/USB cradle (if I can ever find one for my i5700 that is :p).

Just one question what is it like for getting your mobile off the stand?

So say if you wanted to take your mobile off to make a quick call or text someone back with both hands is it easy enough and not too much of a hassle to do this, if you know what I mean? :p

The main thing that a charging/USB cradle dock has over this IMO is that you can easily take the mobile out and put it back in the cradle with out any hassle IMO and then you can just put the mobile into the cradle and connect it to the PC via the USB thing, but then you can't rotate it and turn it around to point in certain directions like the clingo stand.

Decisions, decisions

What should I do? :p :(

I've had one of these for a week and I'm very happy with it. I use it for my Desire, albeit one with a black hard case on it and it works perfectly well. You only have to place it on the sticky surface and it will stick. No force is needed. Removing it takes about a second, although it obviously takes a bit more force to remove it than lifting it off a cradle.

For me, I'm going to use it at work where I can read some ebooks while working. I'd imagine it would be a hassle for anyone that takes a lot of calls on their phone - thus having to unplug USB and remove from stand frequently. For the occasional call it's ok.

Note - For texting/emailing - there's actually no reason to remove your phone - because you can rotate/angle up + down + left to right, it's very easy to type while the phone is mounted on the stand.

It's quite ok, takes alittle tiny bit of pull force but it's good and fine to pull off. It's strong and I have pulled my rubber case off and the phone come out the case so I just take it out of the case instead of pulling the hole phone off lol.

If you require to phone someone fast or recieve calls then this stand might not be for you. But for texting it's brilliant.
