Finance haters gonna hate :-)

it is

just dont try and use the fact like you have done. You may not have intended to come over all superior and arrogant, but the "i work in the industry" line comes across like that.

Hence peoples negative reaction.

Makes me wonder why I bother, the reaction doesn't seem very good. I thought it was a good thing to be doing :(.

It is a good thing if it gets your foot in the door and you like it crack on.

People are just saying sometimes when a young person sounds like a know all it gets on their nerves.

At least you got off your arse and got a little job at that age.

We were still nicking lead and slate off roofs of derelict buildings at 14 :)

It's fantastic, just be honest about what you really do and the part you play :)
I apologize if I came across as arrogant. That wasn't my intention.
I do enjoy it as when there are no sales personal available I speak to customers 1 to 1 and show them cars. God knows why I enjoy such a thing, but I do.

You do realise that you 'could' have bought this for the same amount of money, actually £65 less.

Just thought I should point that out :) ...it's not exactly an old banger either, it's 4 and half years older than the Hyundai but ..well, yea anyway.

Is that a Bugatti Veyron?

Someone with no license or real experience of driving is allowed to advise people on cars?!

Its good you like it, and when you are old enough they will hopefully give you a paying job, better spending time doing that learning something than being a **** in mcdonalds car park with the divs.

Well, they just say I want something small good looking, I point them to a corsa. If someone says I am going to be doing lots of motorway miles and I want something comfortable I point them to an insignia.
Once it actually gets down to the more complicated parts of the sales process one of the sales people will step in. After all this situation rarely happens as usually there is a sales person free for the customer and if so I will observe and learn, And assist in showing the customer the features of the car ect.

You don't need a driving license to tell people how many MPG a Scenic does or how the seats in a Zafira fold down, or what options a 320i has on it.
