gtx 260 sli or gtx 480

as the title says im not sure what to go for.

im either going to but 2 msi cyclone 460's or a gtx 480.

i no normally most people say the single card is better and there is always the optin to add another in the future but im not going to be considering this.
my power suply is only a corsair 850w so i would not be able to run 2x 480's anyway.

whatever choice i make i dont think i will be upgrading the graphics for a couple of years and possible by that time ill be building a new pc from scratch anyway.

what would you go for in my situation. my specs are below

i7 920 @ 4.0 ghz
6gb 1600mhz ddr3 ram
big coolmaster cosmos case
850w corsair modular psu
gigabyte ex58-ud5 mobo
gaming at 1920x1080 on an asus 120hz monitor

The more multi GPU set-ups out there the more devs will start to take notice & tune there game engines for multi GPU.

I can't comment on CrossFire as i have never experianced it. But i think the problems people seem to have with Nvidia's SLI is a red-herring

I had 8800GTX, then 8800GTX SLI, now a 460GTX and plan to have a another so that it's on SLI

I have never had any problems what-so-ever on any setup

460 SLI IMO, at its price it offers great performance.

just ordered 2 460 cyclones so can't wait to play bc2 maxed out. been using a gts 250 on low settings so it should be a nice boost.

lol it would indeed be a nice upgrade It would be like the speed of FOUR GTS250...and that's not even counting the overclock on the GTX460s yet
