Already got Dragon Age Origins Digital Deluxe Edition + Awakenings on Steam and was about to start playing them.

Noticed that the Ultimate Edition is out on retail now and I would like the additional DLC I don't have from them. Is it possible to buy it and add the DLC to my Steam version? I could then sell the retail version to recoup some cash which would be a lot cheaper than buying all the DLCs direct from Bioware.

Annoyingly it wouldnt be possible, as the DLC is probably bound to this installation and I bet you would still have to download the DLC via BioWares servers to be sure of that too.

If it's like the original retail and steam versions, I had the original physical collectors edition, and then bought the standard edition and Awakenings on Steam. It all just got tied to my Bioware account just fine. So I would think it should work. You might well find though that it's just cheaper to buy the DLC you haven't already got through the Digital Deluxe edition.

Hopefully this is the way it is. The DLC I don't have would add up to about £20 I think so it's a little cheaper to buy the new Ultimate Ediiton to get the DLC. And then I can recoup some of the cash on the auction site of course.

I have the retail collector's edition and rather than purchasing awakening for £15 by itself then all of the DLC it would be cheaper to buy the Ultimate edition for £17.99.

My question is does anyone know if I can add awakening and the DLC from the Ultimate edition to my existing installation of the retail Collectors Edition?

Cheers

Bump - I don't suppose anyone tried this did they?

I've only got "Vanilla" Dragon Age (on Steam) so it'd be worth picking up the Ultimate edition given its quite cheap, and wondered if I could seperate the DLC from the base DA game so I could either sell it on or give it to a mate...?

Well I didn't want to risk getting the Ultimate edition in the end, ordered Awakening for a tenner and got some of the DLC separately. Will get the rest in a few weeks.

I didn't want to risk it not working, I did post of the official forums but got no answer. I really feel that EA/Bioware should reduce the DLC prices now that the Ultimate edition is out!
