Jesus was born in summer, the Christians just found the pagan festival and decided to use it to celebrate him instead. Most of the traditions you see are pagan, like trees ect. Just like Easter

I think some "folk" to an extent like to be "offended" for the sake of just being "offended" to enforce themselves upon us.

Well personally my picture was a dig at the extremist side of Islam, not your typical peaceful Muslim goer.

No, it's not spoiling it - it's trying to think about other members and how a post/image could offend someone. And it's generally best to have a quiet word with members rather than having to explain yourself to others - case in point.
