New SB work/gaming build. £500 Budget.

Hey guys,

So after a lot tear-shedding and hard graft, sadly I have to confirm that my 8800GT passed away this afternoon. The motherboard was spot on. A mate brought his GTX280 round, whacked it in and it worked perfectly, nice and smooth.

So no playing with it for now but I will be on the look out on the MM or on OcUK for a cheap GTX460 like this.

Bad to hear!

You went with a P67 mobo in the end as well, so can't even use onboard :(
 
Well, just done some more research on graphics cards and I went for the deal of the week Gigabyte GTX460 OC. Its still got more headroom for higher clocks so I look forward to its arrival on Friday. I'll post some final pics and benchies on Friday night ;)
