Well i ordered my system around september and its been going fine up until the other day where i was having constant bsods, i tested each ram stick and then found out it was one of the dim slots that was causing the problem

Anyone had any experience with an asus rma ?

hi m8 i had simulare problem as you the other week the middle ram sot wasnt working i was going to rma the board but as i was takeing it out i decided to check the heat sink and reseated it it solved the problem was only showing 4 gig in bios and windows this was on same board as you

It showed the full 6Gig but when i went to run a memtest it just crashed. got the 3rd ram stick in another slot now and its running sweet as a nut. But no triple channel.
I dont know if i should just stick with this or try to return it, i dont want the hassle or no pc for a long time.

Did you ever get this sorted out mate? I've been having BSOD's lately and only 4GB showing instead of 6GB. It's weird cos the BIOS & control panel show 4GB but CPU-Z shows 6GB installed. I've tried 2 sets of RAM now and they are both the same. I've also done a clean install but the problem's still there.

I replaced the board yesterday with my P6T Deluxe and everything's working fine now. Both sets of RAM work ok with this board and no BSOD yet. Looks like an RMA job now.

Hi in November I purchased one of these boards in an ocuk system bundle and recently started to receive bsod. I have done the normal tests and fresh install etc etc and I have managed to get the ram to fail once in memtest.

Just out of curiosity what kinda of bsod have you guys been getting?
I am still at the stage of working out if this is being caused by ram or the mobo at present. Have reseated ram and swapped chip round that failed.

Have any of you guys managed to rma the board and what information did ocuk/asus require to rma??

I also am very reluctant to have to rma but needs must, any info you guys could give would be awesome.

Thanks :)

In the end I just flogged mine on the bay. Been rock solid since I put my Asus P6T back in. Sorry but not much help to you though.

Nope i never did a RMA, just kept the 3rd ram stick in another slot. I was going to use some compressed air on the dim slot to see if that sorts it but havent got round to it
