SO, people's thoughts on the Retro lancer?
Loving it, found it hard to survive without the Gnasher shotgun, but i love the 1 hit gibbyness of the Sawn off shotgun, retro lancer fills the void, its a beast at close - close/mid range.

Completely lacking range though, end up sprinting for a revolver when ever possible.

I just can't use the retro lancer at all. You have to be so close for it to be effective you might as well get a bit closer and use a Shotgun anyway. I just keep to the regular Lancer and Gnasher (though may change to sawn off) and try and get the Gorgan when I can.

If you're saying download on PC transfer to 360 that sounds highly unlikely.

I see looks like the beta is not console\account signed then. It will be very detectable that you didn't use a key\code to download it though. If you don't mind risking a ban fill your boots.

Does it take a trillion bullets to drop someone like it does in gears 1 + 2? I don't know whether to buy, I LOVE doing co-op campaign but the mp I never really enjoyed :S

Same. Went in store to gamestation and got my beta code on the spot.

Going by what has been said on the gears forums it appears Game have given priority to people who ordered the epic or limited edition of the game for the beta codes.
Typical Game really - prioritise whoever is paying the most money

I wouldn't have been able to play the beta til tuesday if somebody from the gears forums didn't give me a spare code.

Got the same email today, So PSN is down and i can't steam enable Portal 2 and thanks to game I can't play the GOW 3 Beta

No, keep getting the message about dedicated servers are down for maintenance.

The 2 new maps are trenchs and old town (i think), new mode on Monday
