MSI P67a-GD65
XMS3 4gb 1600mhz

will sit along side my 480

Make sure its the Retail CPU, if you dont have a heatsink with socket 1156/55 fitments

FSX will use what you can give it upto i think 7-9gb some people have reported im no expert im only going on what i read on FSX forums

i dont think FSX will in standard form but i have about 180gb worth of add ons installed, Yes i am dreading reinstalling windows when i change the mobo and cpu

The GD53 would probably be sufficient for your needs. But I do run a GD65 and cannot fault it. Great boards.

Also, considering ram prices I can't see a reason to buy a new pc and not get 8gb unless you're on a tight budget. Games like metro etc are already pushing the boundaries of the 4gb ram sweet spot for gaming.

2x4GB means that you can upgrade to 4x4GB later.
