Which bum do you prefer?

Jag, the 1997-2002 XJ8 really is a thing of beauty, a stunning car and one of the last luxury saloons which was properly low, wide and long without being bulbous.

Even ignoring my clear preference for a Jag - the Merc doesn't even have any exhausts on show!

As technologically superior as my S-type is, I do miss my old XJ8 in Antigua Blue!

With that model and that colour, that's the worst looking S-class rump possible! Therefore Jag wins, though neither are particularly pretty rumps in the grand scheme of things.
 
Superb with the Celtic alloys Rich, a classic.

The X350 was the last of the good lookers Blackhawk but its not a patch on the X308, icon an icon of a car!
 
The x350 as above was and always probably will be the last of classic xj shape. I really do think we have approached a time in car design history where its all downhill from here. :(

Me too, theres no denying the new XJ is a masterpiece of engineering, but pretty or iconic its not.

In 15 years thats just going to be another bland luxo barge on the same pile as 7 series, A8s and S class's.
