Was looking forward to the summer and signing some decent players but it doesn't look like we're even interested in decent players 
Doesn't beat the guardians transfer news of the decade in January with'bale to inter'
I dont know too much about Jeffren, if wikipedia is to be believed he is known for his crossing ability so that sounds positive, and I bet he works out cheaper than Downing anyway.
Very early days in the transfer market yet, plenty of time to go, I have faith in the powers that be that the signings will be good ones.

Being honest, the little i've seen of Jeffren, he's better then Downing ..
Remember two games, one where he ripped City's defence apart (Pre season) and another vs Atl Bilbao where he destroyed everyone on the right side, just skilled past them with ease.
That said, dont think its any real interest ..

That said, Rodolfo Borrell scouted Jeffren for Barca when he was their youth coach, so maybe LFC are interested.

I am confident that the powers that be wouldnt sign him if they didnt think the injuries were behind him
This is the bit I hate about transfer windows, every piece of media and website seems to have a different story about a different player every hour. Probably best to just ignore all rumours, good or bad and only bother to pay attention when a deal is actually done.
I think for 8 million you could do a lot worse.
I also don't think he'd want to leave Barcelona for Liverpool, no disrespect.

The latest from our pursuit of Henderson + others from the Times:
They're reporting that N'gog is likely to be used as a makeweight as part of the deal with Sunderland wanting £13m + N'gog, with Liverpool offering £11m + N'gog. One way or another, it looks like that deal's going to go ahead. They're also reporting that once the Henderson deal is tied up, we'll look to do deals for Adam, Downing and Wickham.
With Henderson's versatility, I'd have thought we wouldn't then need to sign another CM in Adam; clearly Dalglish rates him very highly though. With Suarez and Carroll, Wickham makes perfect sense; it's difficult to have 3 high profile strikers so signing the best youngster available to us is the next best thing. And Downing; as I've said before, there's certainly better wingers than him but imo, he's the exact type of wide player we need. We don't need another wide player that looks to cut inside and link with the midfielders - we've got plenty of those already - we need somebody that's going to give us width and will provide the service for Carroll.

Aye, and in the last 4 windows Twitter and 'ITK's' have made it a bloody mess.
I usually just pay attention to what has actually been done and find out mid season we missed somebody.
