when bf3 doe's come out in oct within 1 month we will have the norm dicks with thier amibot cheats and etc etc and ea/dice and so won't do nothing about it like they done with the other games.why should they they got your money before you installed it

Ridiculous. Of course they will care, the more people that like the game and keep playing it, the more people that are likely to purchase future DLC.

For **** SAKE.

I'm SICK of EA and what DICE is doing to this game. I was sold on BF3 and now you people are telling me the destruction is getting nerfed. Keep doing this DICE, I tell you. Keep doing this and watch how this will get eaten by the worst game worldwide, MW3.

the tower block was obviously scripted

it was a tower block felled by a single light rocket so yep

I take it people can still climb up sides and on top of the building. They are just making the structure solid and simple apart from that, I guess that would make the whole super sized battlefield idea a lot easier to render

But arma has entire cities of enterable buildings, I run that game on my 4870 on all high

Congrats on almost reading my post properly. Musta been in too much of a hurry to get your little rolleyes in. It was established about 5 seconds after the sp footage came out that the tower block was obviously scripted, its whole purpose was to show off the level of destruction the new engine can handle.

So what was the point of your post, other that trying to belittle some one, you know it was scripted sp event, so you must have know game have been doing these kinda of scripted events for years, it just depends of how talented the animators are.

Also it nice to see you almost read my post where its been said that there will not be the same level of destruction as bc2

I read your post, you're getting this info from a fan site, its not come from Dice directly. It would make ZERO sense for them to show off the level of destruction the engine can do, then in multiplayer dumb it down to levels beneath BC2.

BC2 had buildings that couldn't be collapsed because they had a steel structure beneath the concrete. I would presume that these kind of buildings may be more prevelant in BF3 because Jets dropping bombs could decimate the map fairly quickly. Still doesn't mean that buildings in mp won't be collapsable.

Your link also says thats "destruction 2.0 is not gone at all", and what was the main thing that destruction 2.0 brought? Collapsable buildings.

Either way its mainly speculation and quotes that may have been taken out of context.

BC2 isn't full of cheaters at least, they exist but not full of them.

Its funny that EA keep claiming that its Valve not letting them have "full control" over DLC and patch releases when actually all Valve are saying is "No, you may not give exclusive DLC to other retailers, if they have it then our customers must have it." Which frankly is fair enough. I am suprised other retailers don't have this clause as well. I would hate to buy BF3 from Gamersgate or D2D only to find that a month or two down the line I can't get any DLC because it is only avaliable to those who bought through Origin.

That is so bad, it looked like EA was finally getting their customers but they go ahead and ruin BF3 completely with DLC mess...

And no Steam release? I am not buying it through their digital distribution app, I want one place to buy and have all my games and who knows, remember EA Downloader? EA might cancel it a month later.

Looks like EA is betting just waaay to much on BF3, they want to push their digital distribution with the help of BF3, they want to conquer Call of Duty with the help of BF3, they want to leech and nickel and dime with DLC with the help of BF3...

Battlefield is a great franchise but come on... it looks like it's set up for some massive come crumbling down for EA and they'll take down Battlefield with them...

Seeing EA are going with the most inept anti-cheat software out there I would expect a ton of cheats on day one, later on expect hacked accounts and server crashing. To this day accounts are still being hacked in BF2 and players are waking up to find themselves four star generals.

I just hope it doesn't get as bad as COD. If it does I think that will be the end of PC gaming for me.
