I just bought an asus 470 gtx off the members market, and would like to go sli in the near future, but this is my first build and havent got to grips with everything yet.
when i buy another 470 does it have to be asus??
should i be looking at fitting an aftermarket cooler??
should i try overclocking it before sli or at all??

the rest of the set-up

asus p7p55d pro board
i5 750 (minimum)
Antec Trupower 2.0 550w PSU
4gb geil ram

i'll also be using a full hd projector instead of a monitor so will bu 92" screen

No. But ideally the cards should match in speed as they run at the speed of the slowest card.

Not if you're happy with the temperatures/noise of the existing one.

That depends if you need the extra performance. Overclocking will increase temperatures and power consumption.

Antec Trupower 2.0 550w PSU You won't be running SLI 470's with that PSU.
4gb geil ram

Size isn't important. 1920x1080 is the same if it's on a 22" or 92" screen.

Great buy by the way :-) Get a VF3000 for it if you don't go SLI, will improve the cards noise, temps and overclocking ability :-)

somehow completely missed that post
thanks people:)
dont think i'll be liquid cooling just yet as this is my first build and i'd prefer it without water damage
