It's the driving mode setting within voice talk. Found it quite cool but fricking annoying after a short while. could be useful while driving though, especially if you use the same notification sound for everything
When I say idle, I mean the phone is in deep sleep mode. If you are away from a power source for any reason, having forgotten to bring a portable power pack etc, then it can be a lifesaver having a phone with an uber-efficient sleep mode. Ive been to more then one festival where i've had to only use my phone a minute or two at a time for fear of it dying on me.
Either way stop being such a big girls blouse just because you don't agree with the way someone chooses to use their phone on occasion, you've thrown more sulks and hissy fits in this thread than anyone ive yet seen.

im disagreeing that you will get 3/4 days use out of this phone. 2 days eeking at best, and im also saying if you can (on a regulars basis) get 3/4 days out of it you either got lucky on the battery or you properly dont need this phone...

IMO the leaked KG1/2.3.4
For all its faults/bugs.... It does run a LOT cooler than before, even when overclocked. The wifi is stronger, screen colours seem more balanced, GPS connects quicker...
On the downside... camera is now slow which is crap, and there can be slight lag when scrolling etc, though for me the pros far outweigh the negatives.
Im still on KE7... haven't found a good reason to upgrade yet. Is the WiFi significantly better now?
Ah yes, that's it, thanks. Easy to forget which are built in phone functions and which are functions of a specifically installed app. I find it very useful, doesn't annoy me yet. I've also installed an app called calendar snooze. It's brilliant. Every calendar appointment I type in, I usually set it to notify me 15 minutes before. So the event tone I selected sounds, then pico TTS voice comes in and says " Upcoming event.. post at overclockers.co.uk in 15 minutes.." or whatever I typed
, then proceeds to remind me every minute up to 5 times if I want on the free version. " Upcoming event reminder ...post at overclockers in 14 minutes..." along with a screen showing the text of the event, with mute, dismiss, etc. And you can edit if you want it to say what the event is, or just have it say "upcoming event in 15 minutes".

my wifi signal didnt change on kg1. network speeds improved though. gps lock was about the same as i recall. I had network issues though, had to go back to kf3 in the end. Not that anybody offered to help here, mind.
For me it is. Not sure why but on other firmwares I'd only get 2 bars indoors (wifi) where as now I get 3 all the time. Also it hasnt dropped out for me once on KG1, and the wifi sharing bug has gone too.
It does run surprisingly cooler though which was unexpected, though anyone else on KG1 will tell you the camera now taking 1sec to take a pic is just not on

Ahh but wait... isnt KG1 a leaked 2.3.4 build? If so then it will probably polished up for final release I hope.

are you on stock kg1 then? as i believe the custom roms are still using the older hacked camera apk if im not mistaken
Yeh sorry I thought you knew that. And yeh I agree, it will be for sure. No doubt this was a "planned" leak.
I am on stock as the custom ROM's based on 2.3.4 are actually using kernals from 2.3.3. which is pointless as most of the changes were made at kernal level. Also, the hacked camera apk recorded at a higher bitrate, though showed no improvement on image quality. (Unless someone wants to prove me wrong)

it does improve the video quality but the biggest improvement is the audio quality. it's absolutely worth it, imo. Anyway, if you are rooted then try it, it might solve your delay issue.

dont take my word for it, ive got nothing to gain. Like i told you, the biggest gain is the audio quality . check the thread over at xda, mrk's own video's are in the op.
To be honest I haven't planned on doing anything as KE7 runs so well, so haven't been checking out the other custom firmwares at all.
