1944. As the war in Europe continues to take its toll on Allied forces, the Pentagon brass has no recourse but to consider unorthodox options - including the untried and untested African-American pilots of the experimental Tuskegee training program. Just as the young Tuskegee men are on the brink of being shut down and shipped back home, they are given the ultimate chance to show their courage. Against all the odds, with something to prove and everything to lose, these intrepid young airmen take to the skies to fight for their country - and the fate of the free world.

I love WW2 history films everything about it but Not in ten million years would i watch this film no matter what. I would rather have my eyes plucked out by ME109s

Sounds like another WW2 film where the Americans are the undisputed heroes of the world.

Was going to dismiss this out of hand, then I read up on it, now I've upgraded it from "won't watch" to "meh".

That looks very good. The actual story of the Tuskegee airmen is inspiring and the action sequences look excellent. How they handle the human elemenst of the story does concern me a bit though. Nonetheless, I have no doubt I'll be watching this.

It looks like one huge hideous cliché. Yuck. I almost had to turn the trailer off. Seriously - how cheesy? Such a shame because I was thinking it'd be great to see a 'modern' WW2 dogfight movie.

It's a shame that this true story is probably going to be passed off as "typical Hollywood Crap" by most people. I watched the original Tuskegee Airman film (still staring Cuba too :D) and this looks just as good but with a Hollywood budget!

The History channel documenary on those Pilots is stunning too, absolute genuine not made up 100% heroism in the face of out-right racism from their own side and bullets from the Nazi's.

I remember the original film, wasnt too bad. But the documentaries ive seen about them were very good, iirc they only lost 25 bombers while performing escort duties.

Just wondered when this film was going to be released and see that it gets a US release on 20 Jan but no word of a UK release date. I'm amazed that studios still haven't got the message that if they delay releasing a film then it will get pirated. Personally, I want to see this on the Big Screen so I'll wait but it is annoying not to know for how long.

Eeek, the trailer was a tad cringey. I will definitely watch it though, love WW2/Dogfight/Movies about fighter pilots in general.

The actual Tuskegee airmen we're superb, real pioneers for equality, not sure about the film

I didn't know you were a black pilot in the second world war :p

I thought it would be awful when I saw Lucasarts show up but it doesn't look like George is going to be in it.

It still looks pretty meh though even if the dog fights look quite good.
