Iphone 4 black 16gb.

Originally bought on launch day but this phone failed Jan this year, Apple replaced the handset.

I work at the head office of a well known high street phone retailer and we are preparing for the launch.

Weve just taken people on for iphone 5 upgrades and have the lines set up in our call centre and our warehouse have the stock info.

I'm guessing an early October launch?

For those looking for the best specs available they are forced to look elsewhere right now, great selection of apps but hardware wise it's weak.

We are hardware enthusiasts here above all else, you could apply that argument to many things but it doesn’t change the fact that the iPhone 4 is last generation technology and lacks features and the performance of current phones.

I know it's behind current phones but that's because it's over a year old. I didn't think Apple would wait this long to release it (as I've said before), but they have and I'm sure people aren't too upset about waiting an extra month or two.

I mean, what exactly are they missing that the likes of the Galaxy S II has when it comes to hardware (bearing in mind how quick the iPhone software runs even compared to Android with dual-core)?

Surely the iP5 has to be either the biggest and most amazing update yet or totally and utterly rubbish. Taking all this time either means something big or that they're scrabbling for ideas. I think it's as binary as that.

That's what i'm thinking. I think it will be the first as all the tecch is already tried and tested like the CPU and the just need to add a bigger screen and the phone is done!
