If the beta has already started appearing on dev's consoles, then it must mean that it is also very close to being released aswell?

Since it's going to be the same beta on both consoles and pc, then I guess the beta is already in it's final phase of being tweaked before it is released.

I love the teasing they're giving us. I bet they put the beta up for download and don't tell anyone about it. When somebody spots it and goes nuts they'll just shrug and say "What? Oh, yeah, that went up aaaages ago... "

The blurb says it comes with Back to Karkand but doesn't mention the Physical Warfare pack at all.

Yep that's true. Any preorder anywhere gets the back to karkand DLC. Only certainly places get the warfare pack, SPECTAC skins or dog tags.

4GB is fine, as lomg as you are not running loads of stuff in the background. The game cannot utilise more than 4Bg in itself as it is a 32bit programme.

When I was playing the Alpha I had 4GB in my system (have since upgraded to 8) and encountered no slowdown or problems, smooth as butter.

I suppose if you're going to be running a few programs in the background then 8GB is going to be plenty

Dog tags in Battlefield 3 serve as your in-game signature, displayed on screen every time you defeat an enemy. You can also claim the dog tag of your enemies via skillful stealth knife takedowns.

I think you will be fine, what speed is your 955 running at?

I had a 5850 but sold it to fund a GTX570 but didn't play the Alpha but after watching that lastest video , I'm half tempted to upgrade the rest of my rig.

None of us with medium to high rigs should actually have a problem I would like to think. The majority of people who are upgrading their entire spec use the release of BF3 for a reason.

EA employee playing at home. Sky+HD isn't available in Sweden!

ninja edit. it may be 'possible' but to get the 'British' channels you need a dish about 1.5M across and Sky won't send a viewing card outside the UK.

Yeah it's not outside the realm of possibility you'd need something like a 2M dish for reliable signal, but I find it unlikely. More likely it's the home of some DICE/EA employee in the UK.

Only running at stock, but thankfully my mobo is Bulldozer compatible so may upgrade to that.
