A little, just with the motherboard doing it itself, I had on order a bigger cooler, does the CPU make that much difference?

There's no way people will have double that score with only one GTX580.
For reference i get around 7400 with my GTX580 @ 900/1800/4400 and i7 920 @ 3.91

does the cpu make a massive difference then? Im running an OC I3 @4.58, but I get about p5800-6100 depending on the OC on my card........starting to think my card i duff. lol

Just ran mine as a test. Your score (OP) seem pretty normal to me. If you bumped your CPU OC up a lil to 4ghz or higher then you will have similar scores to mine (maybe a lil less) as x2 460's perform a lil better than one 580. Should certainly see it around the 7k mark after finishing the 11 benchmark with an high CPU OC.
