****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

i've got 8 email accounts. can gmail handle them seperastely? i currently use thunderbird on my pc which sorts out the spam and figured there'd be something like this on android. really shocked there isn't tbh as i'd have thought everyone has this problem. i get spam every refresh that the phone does from at least one account/.

I believe to separate them you'd need to have a separate gmail account for each non-gmail account...

I think the problem is that 'everyone' that uses Android also uses Gmail :p

The question does remain thought that why does anyone need 8 email addresses? 2 I can understand, even done it at times, 3 is possible yeah, but 8? :p

Had trouble updating to 2.3.4 through Kies yesterday. Would download the update then just before it would flash it'd say cannot connect etc - I needed to turn the phone on and off again, took about 3 attempts. Managed to do it though.

Kies is truly awful.

Got my s2 delivered today, put my SD card from my DHD in and Poweramp found all the music fine. However when i plug in via usb, I can't find where the music is stored(not in the DCIM folder, media folder and sd card folder :S).

The SD Card is mounted at /sdcard/external_sd, so depends how you're viewing it as to how you find it, if you do the proper usb sharing rather than Kies then you'll get 2 new removable disks in windows, otherwise it'll be inside the external_sd folder...

:(

No, well,it depends how you want to have it set up. Each account can be automatically labelled and even put into specific folders.

Got to be honest,I would expect my phone to run heuristic tests on every email I received, the battery would be dead in half the time. Its generally considered a server side task.

Ah, For some reason I thought you could only get notifications for the inbox/priority inbox for some reason, just checked and you can do it per label so yeah, that option would be better :p

I've taken the plunge and moved away from Litening (sp?) ROM and just installing CM7. Sounds good from what I can read. Litening was fine but I got a lot of restarts for no apparent reasons!

Boooo!

To be fair this phone has taken a fair few hits though - quite a big one today from 5 foot to paving slab on a corner was one too much. Still perfectly useable, including the front camera which the cracks seems to go around.

People really should be more careful with their things. Fair enough, if you're doing something that makes you prone to dropping it, get a tough case.
