AMD Bulldozer Finally!

i quess we will know tomorrow .... so lets take bets to who the first independent reviewer will be.... I guess andtech

If you call Anandtech independent! ;)
Anandtech is a good site but when a product is going against an Intel product he will always find ways to make Intel's products seem like the better buy. However in this case I don't think he will need to try too hard!

I was hoping BD would have come out a bit sooner, I was going to decide on that or a SB ready for BF3, depending on which was better pound for pound but didn't want to wait out much longer and already went SB.

Even if the performance initially looks a bit lackluster at least it may have helped drive down prices of Intel chips before I did buy!

For high end gaming it seems to me that Sandybridge is clearly the best choice. 4 cores will be sufficient for a couple of years yet I think.

I don't game, and I need as many cores as I can get. So x6 or bulldozer for me though.

Hoping we can preorder tommorow for Weds arrival?!
Has that ever happened before :p?

Seriously, if you need as many threads as you can get, then go for the 2600k. This isn't a troll or anything.

In another forum (can't name as they are a competitor) a similar thread contains these statistics...

I3R0K3N7FEET 426
Martin 389
k3vst3r 255
Terbinator 181
zoomee 129
RawZ 90
El Wayneo 77
AmdOverclocker 72

...do some people flip from one to another and if so how do you keep it up..!! :D ( hint Martin :) )

Are we thinking BD will be competively priced? One of my 775 mobos has died and I am now thinking of building a cheap amd quad core rig to replace it!

I went for the 2500k. BD is a completely new design and only 1st gen. I'll let other people beta test it. I only usually buy the 2nd improved gen.

Im a bit late in here and iim about to do a build, long story short should i go 8 core bull or i5 for a bit of everything not just gaming? thanks, jordy
