Something funny happened yesterday to me. I locked my stinger onto a jet and when I pressed shoot the 2 enemy jets crossed the their path and my rocket followed the other jet lol :D
Think it was scary squirrel in the jet as well as to say my rocket will only follow people from ocuk :p

Any advice for using the first unlocked, lock on rocket launcher when taking out jets? I never seem to hit anything with it? :(

Some of the maps are really easy to rack up a good score, sit at a choke point with medi kits and defib = Win.

I'm not buying this game if I have to de-clock my card it doesnt make sense.

I'm currently playing Metro 2033 in DX11 with everything on full apart from DOF and Tessellation and it looks incredible and played perfectly for over two hours, thats just one example of many games, BF3 is the only game I've had a problem with

It makes complete sense.

BF3 will fire pretty much every transistor your GPU has, as it supports DX11 intensely and its GPU heavy. Its probably one of the first games to do this on the PC.

It only takes one of those transistors to not switch in time due to too high clock speeds or not enough voltage and the entire chip will fall over and crash.

Is anyone else getting the big triangles corruption? I had it on the beta and it was fixed with a driver, so I'm fairly sure it's a general driver issue rather than my card. You basically get lots of interesting triangles pointing to the reticule.

Artifacts, see if lowering your clocks or raising voltage fixes it. If it does see about RMA if it does it at your stock clocks.

Whatever server I was on last night I don't think my team won once.

My and a mate where going for the objectives whereas everyone else seemed to either fly a jet into outer space or nose dive a chopper into the dirt!

Was on the TFU server for about 5 minutes but someone was cheating :(

Also, does anyone know how to unbind a key via console?

I tried clearing the bind by holding escape but it still binds the value to the key even if its unbound.

I had about 20 messages on Battlelog and like 10 text's about the cheater haha. He was banned pretty sharpish :D

hey guys, Not really had a chance to try this but getting it tomorrow with hopefully and afternoon off work, from what I gather I wont be maxing on a 6970. that right yeah?

Certainly be pretty close depending on res

I'm maxed out on ultra settings @ 2560x1440 on a GTX580 never dipping before 45fps, i'd think a 6970 would do all high @ 1920x1080 easy enough, maybe even with all ultra settings.

You were kicked from the server by an administrator. Keep getting this.... And i updated my comp this morning and now have no sound in game. Help please.

Uninstall punkbuster, download the latest version from the PB site and reinstall it (i think that's what people have been recommending for this) also run the PB service test on the installer to make sure it's installed and running correctly.

I hope ATI make more efficient drivers. I tried cranking up a few settings to Ultra (Texture, Shadow and Mesh) and noticed my VRAM usage go from 1600MB to 1998MB. The game ran quite well averaging at 50fps but after a few minutes it started suttering really bad. The game would freeze for a seconds and MSI showed the FPS go down to 1! I can only assume this is due to the fact my 5850's only have 1GB of VRAM.

It's a shame because after seeing what thte game looks like on these Ultra/High settings I really want to play it like this. There is definently a big difference between High and Ultra.

I was thinking of selling my 5850s and getting two 2GB 6950s. I doubt any of the new 7xxx sereis cards will be faster than two 6950s. Am I mad for upgrading for just one game? lol

Nice to know, thanks! quite excited for tomorrow. never get enough time for games these days!

I have most set to high, with textures at ultra. I tried putting everything to ultra but framerate dropped between 40 and 30 so I knocked that on the head.

Still in bed atm but can tell you all setting later and we can compare notes if you like.

That's exactly the same problem I was having, sudden drastic drops of FPS to 1 every 10 seconds or so. As mentioned previously upping to 8GB of system RAM has completely eradicated it. I also had the same issue using a single card.

Played for around 2 hours last night, not a single instance of it.

I realise that it doesn't really make sense, what with there being plenty of people using 4GB ram with no problems, perhaps there's some sort of memory leak somewhere that affects certain systems?

I'd try that before changing to different GPUs, memory is dirt cheap at the moment anyway and could well sort it out. It did for me!
