1 GTX570 or 2 560Ti SLI?

At this point I would begin to recommend waiting for the next gen. Make do with what you have, and wait for those shiny looking HD 7000 cards, or whatever Nvidia is releasing after that.

I already invested in a 560Ti Oc, so am looking to SLI and buy a 24" monitor for 1080p gaming. It's a very capable card on it's own, but I can't be bothered with selling up my 560 so soon for another card, so seems only logical to see how I get along with BF3, then when I upgrade to a 24" for Xmas...pick up a cheaper 560Ti Oc to stick in there.

One question (sorry to hijack), if I SLI....do I need to have identical cards from the same brand/spec?

I've always used identical cards to ensure stability, but you can use any brand of cards as long as they have the same GPU.

On a previous rig I had 2 x GTX260 in SLI and wanted to ensure they were both BFG Maxcore 55 OC models.

For the meantime I'll stick with one GTX580 and see what offerings nvidia have this time next year and sell the 580 when I change. Seems sensible enough.
