Got my copy in the post this morning. Any patches or things I need to know about?

CAP's are only for crossfire, you dont need them

I haven't played BF3 yet I'm currently waiting for it to download. I played the beta on the official 11.9's and didnt seem to have any major problems, so i'm sticking with them for now

While I was trying to re-map my joystick to this game, I got kicked out from server.

It happened several times.

Did any of you experience similar situation?

Also can re-mapping be only done while in-game? No alternative?

Nope. :|

Servers have an Idle time until you're kicked. Trick I did was unbind all the buttons on the joystick > save. Deploy and then go prone somewhere and map them.

To be honest mate, Im perfectly happy with a single 6870. Will probably use the money to upgrade to high-end 7000 series if necessary.

I have the same card as you, what settings are you running and whats your fps like?

I have a 6850 and same thing for me. Was running it on Ultra fine but then on some maps it stutters randomly. Game freezes for a 2nd or so, really annoying! Hopefully ATI will release drivers soon. Apparently theres CAP drivers available that fix the stuttering, not sure what cap means? Beta drivers?

8GB of RAM solves the pausing/stuttering apparently. Battlelog, Origin and BF3 combined seem to use > 4GB even though task manager reckons they don't...

How can you view the fps in game? On battlefield 2 i used afterburner but for some reason it wont appear in the top left corner for me in BF3

For anyone getting kicked from servers, then it's a two fold thing.

The servers need to manually update Punkbuster & the players too.

I tried to update using PBsetup which is a GUI to update your PB but it didn't work, go to Evenbalance.com & manually download the files from there for Clients. Stick them in your PB folder and you should be good to go.

Server Admins need to do the same.
