Like I said, I don't know why it works, but it does. I don't profess to be a pc hardware guru. Anyway 8GB Ram costs pittance these days. Especially if you sell the 4GB.

Try playing BF3 + browser + origin and you'll see it doesn't hit 4GB at all. I think it's more like 2.2GB. 4GB is still enough today.

Put it this way, you have almost exactly the same system as me (except I have i5 2500k and 8GB RAM) and I don't get any stuttering at all. I did in Beta when i had q6600 and 4gb, but I dont now.

I'm only saying it might be that, that's all. Is it that hard to believe that maybe it's the issue?
 
Unlocked jet flares and heatseekers.

Imo jet flares are 50/50 in terms of fooling enemy missiles. I think a lot of it is to do with timing the deployment of flares right.

Heatseekers are good if enemy jet is right in your sight and you can get a good aim.

However for close dog fight with a lot of manoeuvrability, the default cannon gun is the way to go. It has definitely been powered up from previous alpha/beta :)

If I had one I'd put it on SSD, loads times are really long on this game. Plus first people to load-in seem to get to choose to spawn in the jets. Which is a bit f'ed up really...

Edit - unless I'm just really slow at hitting the join game button and others are spamming it at the between-rounds screen...

Yea definitely install it on to an SSD if you can, got mine running off a Vertex 3 120gb which sees me generally in the server before many others :p

Amazon is still showing as Not Yet Dispatched for my order..... annoying that some have had theirs from Amazon delivered already :(
 
All I can say is EA Live Chat is a complete joke.

Best solution to my problem, of not being able to sign into Battlelog, was to sign up for a Warhammer Online trial.

Haha, I would, but I can't, my HDD isn't fast enough.

Is it also true that the jets get to take off before the "official" start of the round when everyone else is stuck in place a the base? I'm sure I've seen/heard a few jets bezzing around in that 40 or so second period at the start.
 
Can anyone please help this issue is really anoying today.
I have the latest drivers installed but as soon as I load a game and it goes to fullscreen size is just freezes.

You'll actually find that the jet spawns do not become available for about 10-15 seconds after people start spawning, it is to stop exactly this.

If you stay on the deploy screen for a few seconds, without pressing deploy, you will see the jets appear after a few seconds for you to spawn right into.
