My favourite game on the PS2 was Gran Tourismo 3 I played it to death because it was such a good game. I have yet to come across a racing game on the PC that comes anywhere near the enjoyment of playing GT. XBox has Forza which I have never played but has very good reviews. Why are there no racing games on the PC to match these games? I've tried GRID, Dirt, F1 and a few others but I stop playing after a few hours.

Any suggestions?

The pc has the best of the racing sims.

The best beeing Iracing (yes it is expensive but it's a great service and is the most realistic.)

Then you got games like C.A.R.S, Richard burns rally, LFS, Race 07 and Rfactor.

C.A.R.S could be what you are looking for although it is a lot more extreme sim racing.
although with the current build dont expect to get anywhere with a gamepad like the xbox or PS3 controller because there arent any input filters, so its almost undriveable

TBH racing games are the only games that should be played on Console IMHO

iracing bitchslaps you :p

tbh I think theres only the sheer scale of forza and gt content because microsoft and sony just throw money at turn10 and polyphony?

the nearest to that semi arcadey, career zomg lots of cars would be grid, or shift, or dirt

From loving GT myself, i know one of the bigest draws is the gota collect um all.

That bolts on to an enjoyable game to boot:)

Aside from grid, not sure if there's anything like that on the pc though. Gt racers abound, every kind of car you can track in gt can be found in one pc game or another... just not that complete everything you get with gt with the car collecting.

£165s worth of Xbox and Forza 4 tbh.

Just give in and buy a console. Some people spend more on hard drives for their computer. Nobody says you have to play either or.

You can play on both you know !

You have to admire what they are doing though, It's community assisted, the public choose etc, which is a great thing in my eyes, hopefully the end result will be a game, that YOU want and what you have a say on how is made.

It runs the risk of being "designed by committee" too.

/devil's advocate

iracing is ok... But its never the most realistic thats laughable mate.

Gamestockcar and rfactor are still unbeatable.
