Your sig explains your love of the recon class then !

I'm really struggling with snipers, never seem to accurately guess the bullet drop.

nothing more pleasing getting headshots be it in a game or on rabbits at 35 yards, 700+m in bf3 :p
 
which is the better bolt action sniper in BF3 ?

Using the SKS at the minute as it came with my PWP but the low damage is starting to annoy me.
 
Why do people, on my own team I might add, shine laser dots and torches in to your eyes? so annoying!

Some guy just followed me around shooting me and shining his light into my soldiers face.

Is there some achievement linked into doing idiotic things like this?
 
Your whole squad can spawn on your radio beacon.

But then I have found that some people will just put their lasers/tactical light into your soldiers face for no reason at all. Even more so when you move to get out the way and they just move to face you again. And yes I always make sure I have whatever I have, may it be ammo, health create out at all times when around people...

Your squad can spawn on it, but if you do it disappears.

I miss the tracer dart from bc2, that was fantastic for showing your displeasure to idiotic squadmates (like heli campers and such like)

That's exactly what he was doing, even when I was prone, moving to the side, he'd just move as well.

I didn't realise the whole squad could use it as well, I'll remember that! thanks.

Ahh thats why it kept disappearing when I spawned on it, nearly rage quit! :mad: :D

Love this map, played it on the beta and was just hooked. :cool:
 
How do I join other OcUK players? I've added the platoon group and the Xbox Live group, but nothing appears in the game about where you're playing?

Do I need to add the tag 'OcUK' in battlelog?
 
Just look at the friends list of the XBL group to see who is on. There is no other way that we can see at the moment.

Another way is to add the people you generally play with to your friends on battlelog and then it shows when they are online and playing bf3.

wait till you get the M98B oohh baby i use it for CQ as in 5m lol fit a 4x acog on it and you can rule the map got a 3 for 1 on metro with that rifle lol well i thought they were just standing all in a neat row and bam :D

I don't even have the mav yet. How do you people find the time to get so many points?
 
Capturing the flags gives you loads of points, also the marksmen bonus for long head shots.

Recon is probably the slowest class to lvl up, just stick at it.

depends on how good you are at it, i maxed it out in 4 hours ish, i didn't just use the sniper rifles though i used the shotguns and other weapons in the recon class while going for flags

Thats the way to do it.

Laying up in a hill spotting for your team mates and taking out the occasional enemy is good for your team.

Crap for your points.

Best way to get points is to equip a shotgun or PDW (like the UMP) and go off and capture flags and kill people. The complete opposite of being a sniper.

Then once you've got the unlocks, you can play sniper with the good sniper rifles as and when required.
