If so, are they any good or just up-scaled for 'HD'. Thinking about buying it for £15 which imo is a good price but I don't want to be disappointed as I loved the original Splinter Cell games.

I got given it for my birthday as I had fond memories of it from the ps2 days. Terrible game by todays standards, looks very old and just felt so dated with rubbish ai. Traded it in soon after. If you really loved the originals then you might enjoy it, otherwise don't bother.

For what its worth you can buy them separately on psn for £7.99, so it might be worthwhile getting one to see if you like it.

I bought Pandora tomorrow and Chaos Theory (The best SC game so far) when they were on offer for PS+ customers at something like a fiver each and although the graphics aren't amazing and it's not the best HD polish I've seen- but well, graphics aren't everything and I had a lot of fun with both games. Of course, I did have the rose tinted glasses on as it was my favourite series back when they were new games.

Either way, I found them fun and would have happily paid the £7.99 each. Well worth a playthrough - they also have trophies (yay)

I also bought Pandora Tomorrow, it's still immensely playable and no less fun than it used to be all those years ago on the Playstation 2. The HD side of things isn't particularly amazing, nothing like the quality of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for example, but it does make for a nice little tidy up of the visuals. It's certainly much cleaner and crisper than playing your PS2 through a modern TV. There's also trophy support of course. :)

If you loved the originals then these are identical. The games haven't changed but we definitely have.

I bought them at release and couldn't play them as they didn't offer inverted camera settings, this has recently been patched and I've been playing them starting with the first game.

If you're a fan I recommend them, one of those HD remakes that is pure fan service I think.

The reviews were quite negative, I seem to remember. The game even suffers from framerate issues, which is unforgivable really.

You're probably better off getting the PC versions cheaply, they'll look and run better.

I thought about getting it on the PC yesterday as it was on the Steam sales but last time I remember installing the original Splinter Cell onto my PC, the aspect ratio was buggered (4:3 on a 16:9 screen) and the shadows didn't work for whatever reason even though it was maxed out.

I think i'll end up buying it on the PS3 to be honest. I'd love to play them again + they have Trophy support too. Currently seeing it new for £15, would you guys say that's a good price or shall I wait for sales.

£9.95 on Zavvi right now.

I bought it a few months back, but haven't got round to playing it much. Had a quick blast on the SC1 and seems very dated as you would expect, but if you are a fan of the series as I am, it's decent enough.
