That AT mine nerf makes them pretty useless for the time being. Most people already have thermal optics on tanks and now if you want to mine a decent area you need to effectively hide otherwise your mines will disappear.. Should have just limited it to 6 mines per eng in play.

IRNV tanks, they just see my mines from miles away and blow them up:( Ill just have to hope there is a noob at the wheel, oh and never die.

Overall though looks like a decent patch they need to tweak the F2000 though...

Flares reload times for Jets and Helicopter Gunners have been increased.
Does this mean the pilots flares remain untouched? Strange wording otherwise.

Slightly decreased the accuracy for all weapons on fully automatic, burst fire is now preferable at mid to long range.
Increased the effective accuracy of long bursts for LMGs when using a bipod.
Reading between the lines on this one, looks like going Rambo with LMGs is nerfed pretty hard, you already have to manage large recoil and bullet spread - support is my bread and butter but I dont want to be a prone-in-a-corner bipod warrior.
 
Increased range of .44 magnum pistol rounds? Got killed by one of theese last night from about 100 yards, now i know it's a pretty powerful round, but certainly not that good.
 
When they say m4a16, do they mean the engineer's M4?

No, the engineer's is the M4, it's the assault M416 which has been changed.

Looks like a pretty sensible patch to me, although they're changing a lot of things for the jets at the same time. Hope they haven't overdone any of it!

Its still very possible to evade stingers with well timed turns, theres actually a video floating around showing how to evade stingers without having to pop flares, may not be 100% effective but its not like jets don't have a multitude of unlocks to make them harder to hit.

Besides, the patch isn't even out yet. We've no idea exactly how much they've been nerfed by.
 
Fact or fiction: two stingers fired in unison always take down a jet/choppa?

Its very hard to get a double hit on a jet, a helicopter might be more susceptible to it being slower, range and the pilots\co-pilot perks play a large factor in this.
 
lol @ that IRNV video. If it's going to be as useless as that why not just totally remove it? It's gone from being OP to being completely gimped. You would have to be mad to use it now - not that I'm complaining even though I currently have it attached.
 
My favourite weapon as well on assault. Sometimes i get confused with the number of M16/AR15 variants in this game, a3, a4, m4 m4a1 etc.:D

Yeah, it's a bit bizarre they're in there so often. The 416 is a great rifle but I feel silly for staying with the first unlock when there are so many others to play with!
 
Reduced the effectiveness of Stealth on Air Vehicles.
Reduced the effectiveness of Beam Scanning for Jets.
Reduced the damage done to Armored Vehicles and Infantry from AA guns.
Slightly Increased the power of Fighter Jet Cannons against all vehicle targets, especially Helicopters.
Decreased the power of Miniguns against Jets and Helicopters.
Increased the power of Stingers against Jets.
Flares reload times for Jets and Helicopter Gunners have been increased.

If anything this is going to make jets more powerful. I used to love beam scanning but it's useless against choppers with decent gunner/pilot combo. Looks like they will now be easier to shoot down using the cannons. Speaking of which, rocket pod runs are going to be even easier given that the cannons are more powerful.
