Good BF3 Gaming Rig

Just a quick update, due to some bad news family wise I didn't start the upgrade but I'm now back and want to try and get the new PC sorted for Christmas.

So having raided the piggy bank I'm now looking at:

CPU: 3930K
MB : Asus Rampage IV Extreme
GPU : 2x 580 3072MB not sure which yet
SSD : Kingston HyperX 240GB
HDD : 2x WD Black 2TB (already have these)
MEM : G.Skill RipJawsZ 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C9 2133MHz
Display : U2711 0r 3xU2412's not quite decided.
Sound : No idea, using on board at the moment (last sound card I had was X-Fi Fatal1ty which is still about somewhere).
Speakers: Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500
KB : Corsair Vengeance K60
Mouse : Corsair Vengeance M60
Cooling : EK Supreme HF + FC Blocks for the 580's + RX360 + RX240 + 2xD5 + Gentle Typhoons.

I'll post once I finally get the stuff :)

If you're looking to play BF3, The graphics cards are superb(And I'm jealous as usual). but I would say the CPU\2011 system is overkill. I personally would go with a 2500k/2600k system, Which will not be hindered in the slightest by any games, especially considering the SLI setup. And with the money you save, You can buy yourself an Ivybridge processor on release.

My thinking is (flawed as it probably is) that if I go SB and get a good overclock then I'm not sure it would be worth the upgrade to IB given that although there is compatibility with current chipsets/boards I may want a new board (Z75/Z77) with it but if I go SB-E now then I can probably skip IB and wait for Haswell etc.

Plus if I go multi monitor I'll probably want to go tri/quad SLI so the extra processing power/PCIE lanes of the E would come into play.

Any of this make sense ?

not bad i would however drop a 580 for now to stump a 30" dell

I keep looking at the 30" monitors but I think that if I buy a 30" then that's pretty much closing the door on multi-monitor whereas if I go smaller then I could maybe go for 3 in the future.
