You realise most normal people will buy mice/rats that are bred specifically to be used for food and sold frozen. It's no different than us eating a cow, really.

As above, it is still legal to live feed unless in a public place.
I personally wouldn't do it this way as it does not need a video but my boa gets live fed, too small of a snake to feed the annoying neighbours cat to though!

There is no difference in feeding a snake a full size Rat or a Kitten, the Rat probably is a more intelligent animal, its just those fluffy loving doey eyed fools who kick up such a fuss!

As for children killing animals, it is well established observation that those children who kill animals have a increased chance to be diagnosed as sociopaths.

Oh get off your fluffy horse, you'll find most reptile keepers feed live food because most reptiles will not feed on the dead. Just like you wouldn't eat rotten food!

All you moaning about how overly cruel this is and he should be stabbed id seriously consider turning vegetarian as we humans do much much worse, its a food chain, so long as there's no torturing of the animal bar it been killed by the prey then deal with it.

Ive been feeding snakes live food since i was a young boy, im far from a sociopath. Live feeding animals is far different to torturing cats or tearing limbs of dogs or what ever.

It's a massive shame that society has come so removed from nature and the food source that most of society partake in. Many of these laws are based on fluffy cute animal rubbish.
People need to realise what nature is and where their food comes from. It's like so many people are against hunting, but eat meat.

Out of interest how do pet shops kill their mice? I always thought it was through asphyxiation which is the same thing the snake did to the cat before it ate it.

I have to agree that this is a quite different to a rat or mouse.

Vermin are generally accepted as "snake food", where as a cat / kitten is strictly a pet. Much the same as we consider eating beef, pork and chicken acceptable, but to eat something like cat or dog is unacceptable (at least in western cultures).

I think it's pretty disgusting, and I hope they catch the guy.

Of course there is a difference between a rat and a mouse. That doesn't make what you're saying right.

The reason we don't eat cats and dogs isn't beceause they're also kept as pets (people keep pet rats too), it's because of the same reason we don't eat rats; there isn't enough usable meat on them.

It is wrong to feed a live animal to a snake no matter what it is.

What nature are you talking abut, cats are domesticated animals, pet snakes are not in their natural habitat, they have no threat of a predator eating them.

You can't apply nature law when the rules have far changed.

If you want your snakes to eat live food release it into the wild.
