Really enjoyed those games of Dom at the end tonight. I'm still finding that A flag on Hardhat a bit tricky to hit with Semtex from the sides over those walls. Most of the other throws I don't even have to think about.

No I just hadn't played for 9 days so the last one is new to me. It still seems pretty crap I was doing a lot of pre firing awesomely bad for accuracy yet picking up headshot accolades at the same time

Currently working through the attachment challenges for the UMP. Some of the sights are just so rubbish really! How the hell does anybody play normally with the ACOG or Thermal sight?! :confused:

Why will it screw some players. the only people it will "screw" are those with a crap internet connection.

Agree with this. I have had no problems with cod 4, missed 5, mw2 and b/o. so any coding along those lines would be fine with me

This, switching between the two is like night and day.

In MW3 everyone seems to have god like reactions meaning I lose a straight up fight most of the time and they also seem to kill me at the exact moment they turn the corner. Then when I switch over to MW2 everybody is a dribbling lemming who can't seem to touch me even on a 3 bar connection.

If they want the game to be an even playing field then pay for dedicated servers and not punished people with better connections just because they don't pay £2.99 a month for an over subscribed piece of garbage.

Modern Warfare is still surprisingly good given the number of players, but it did mean sticking to TDM. Headquarters with Japanese players was not fun

I have too many painful memories of Black Ops code to want that.

That hardly makes a good general case for having the MW2 code in this. It was pretty bad in it's heyday too for BS with all the kids on family value broadband.

Is there anything I can get for my sig which tracks my MW3 prestige level etc?

Kinda like the bf3 ones

Totally agree. Whereas there was the odd bit of BS in that game,for the most part if you started shooting somebody first then they would die. They wouldn't turn around and kill you instead.

I'm seriously tempted to go through the old COD threads and post up all the quotes from people saying the old ones worked, how many times the same people complained about the same stuff and have now seemed to have forgotten the flaws in the older versions.

You were still getting shot round corners, you were still putting half a clip into someone and have them turn around and kill you and you were still raging

They should call it modern whingefare, it brings out the old man in us all

Not that I disagree that this one is indeed **** but the others were as well. I have to say the last week I haven't bothered much because it's been largely unplayable for me. This happened on the others as well, I just try a couple or three and if it's bad go and try tug off an angry badger instead. It's far more enjoyable.

I dread to think what this game will be like at christmas.

I did have problems with MW2 when it first came out, but since then I've also moved ISP's twice. When MW2 first came out I was with ADSL24 which was reselling BT wholesale and towards the end of MW2 and the release of Black Ops I switched over to Be* because the connection I was getting from ADSL24 was a joke for the price I was paying.
I've always said I had crap laggy games on Black Ops (and I still do), so while everyone was playing Black Ops I went back to MW2 with my newer connection on which I had increased upload speed and a much lower ping (down from and average of 40ms to 16ms), so for that year I was getting much better and less laggy games in MW2.
Just before MW3 came out I switched from Be* to a VSDL2 FTTC connection on which I get 40Mb/10Mb so now I will pull host the majority of the time in MW2 & MW3 meaning even better connections in MW2, but not the case in MW3.

I did complain a lot about the MW2 connection, but my own connection has received massive improvements since back then, I've gone from 3.5Mb/256KB (40ms ping) > 6Mb/1Mb (16ms ping) > 40Mb/10Mb (20ms ping). So yes I did complain about laggy games back then, but that was down to my own connection and these days I hardly ever have a bad game on MW2 whether I have host or not.

Whoops, didn't notice not inviting you back in - sorry. To be honest the party was being terrible with so many times people being kicked. Made me smile listening to people talk and seeing it say they left even though they were still talking. There was some good games last night but that was down to opponents who actually tried to get out the spawn traps and capture flags / cap on demo. I know kills aren't everything on objective games but couldn't get my kill streaks going last night, think I managed 3 pred's all night.

I should be around tonight though, cba for overtime so should be on around half 7 or so.

Edit: Yeah a sig thing would be good also. More junk in the sig sounds fine by me.

'the 1 Some Say' was a fiend for getting disconnected/rejoining a lot, not sure if it was their connection or the host, I didn't get booted once (to my knowledge!) apart from towards the end.

I'll whip over an invite tonight when I see you on!
