Crazy, hurricane over Central Europe and here snowstorm

No, it's not a hurricane.

A windgust of 150km/h does not mean hurricane, the wind hit 165MPH in Scotland the other day, and that was not a hurricane.

C'mon, let us have our moment of fame/fun!

It was a hurricane, Hurricane Bawbag!*

* clearly I know it wasn't actually a hurricane, but, meh...

when happens a hurricane the category also depends from gusts, if a hurricane have a wind of 120 km/h but gusts over 240 km/h the hurricane take part of a certain category ( from 1 to 5 I think ), so gusts are important.

In this case the wind is out the Beaufort scale ( 12 levels ) because gusts are already of a hurricane ( over 120 km/h )

Clear that we can have a hurricane in Europe but atlantic cyclone like this are very dangerous and can create damages as a hurricane.

Europe has never had a hurricane as long as humans have being on the continents that's for sure.

I wrote wrong, sure that we CAN'T have a hurricane like in the USA or other regions, but atlantic cyclone at the end are the same thing in a certain way because they have winds over 120 km/h a create damages.

Atlantic cyclones don't touch land in Europe, at the very most we get the hurricane come over land when it's no longer a hurricane, all it is is a normal storm, or we might get whipped by a hurricanes tail.

Always thought hurricanes tend to be in tropical climates, hence we Europe has never and will never have a hurricane, strong winds yes but not a hurricane.

A hurricane is a tropical revolving storm which typically forms around the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) in the North Atlantic and Northeast Pacific. We don't get them in Europe.

I'm in Kazakhstan at the moment and the wind gusts are mental. Not sure how fast they are but the wind chill is -13 and you can barely walk in a straight line.
